“Eye of Jining” Stands on the East and Tells the Romance--World’s First Outdoor Full-Color LED Ball Display Shows at the Sports Meeting of Shandong Pr

At the end of March, 2014, Shenzhen Apexls Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Ledman’s holding subsidiary, successfully got the bid for the project of LED Ball Display in the Olympic Center of Jining, Shandong. After nearly half a year’s efforts, “Eye of Jining”, LED Ball Display with ideas of humanistic care and urbanism, officially settled in the Olympic Center of Jining and it will be put into use on the opening ceremony of the 23rd Sports Meeting of Shandong Province.
“Eye of Jining” is a LED Ball Display with a diameter of 6m. From the very start of this project, Apexls gave up the ideas on setting off the mounting, but committed to creating a comprehensive sight of great momentum and rich culture by combining surrounding environment, sculptures, atmospheric acoustics, optics, electricity and the ball. What’s more, Apexls worked hard on how to blend the mounting with surroundings. On the whole, when it is lit up, the mounting will “disappear” and people will see the “Eye of Jining” suspending in air.
Under the mounting, there is a body of water in the shape of torus and ovality. With images being presented under the surface of water body, visitors can’t help to feeling themselves walking silently in the history of this charming city and witnessing every exciting moment. Directly over the water body, “Eye of Jining” floats in air, and successfully attracts every visitor’s attention. The unique visual impact coupled with colorful lights make the Ball the soul of this center.
Outdoor LED displays, especially outdoor creative LED displays, get to overcome technical challenges like sunshine, ultraviolet radiation, rain, dust etc. and guarantee their normal operation under severe environmental conditions. However, Apexls continued to forge ahead triumphantly on the road to success in spite of all those difficulties and risks, no matter subjective ones or objective ones. And yes, Apexls did it.
It took Apexls nearly 6 months to design, produce and construct. And providence does not let down a man who does his best, “Eye of Jining” stands there. It is the first outdoor full-color creative LED display in the world, and with no doubt, it will become the landmark product of Apexls and even one of the most typical cases in all the applications of creative LED displays. Furthermore, it plays an important role in the development of creative LED display field.

Introduction to the Olympic Center of Jining, Shandong

The 23rd Sports Meeting of Shandong Province held its grand opening ceremony on September 16th, 2014, at the Olympic Center, with the spirit of unity, dedication, fraternal love, mutual aid and progress. This Center is made up of three venues and one main stadium. The overall design is centered on the Olympic Center, and radically lay out were the three venues (Comprehensive Gymnasium, Natatorium and Shooting Gymnasium) and Training Court, coordinating with Command Centre and Media Centre from afar. The whole design makes full use of cut face of diamonds: the three venues are in the shape of radial jewels, and the Olympic Center is in that of diamond. Under the sunshine, those buildings in different colors make the Olympic center a fantastic dreamland with high technology and modernization.
“Eye of Jining” is not only a LED Ball display, but more a window of Jining’s centuries-old history, culture and wisdom. Furthermore, it will pioneer a much better future in the years to come.
