Ledman released its industry-leading tri-color SMD LED for Full Color Outdoor Video Display

  Today Ledman Optoelectronic Co., Ltd. officially announced the mass production of its industry-leading tri-color SMD LED model that is specially designed for full color outdoor video display: LS-DTEP-FEN2-02.
  This 5x5x2,5(mm) tri-color (RGB) SMD LED is water-resistant (IPx5) and delivers stable light output under UV exposure (tested under much higher intensity than sunlight). This model has high brightness, low degradation, well designed radiation pattern to ensure color consistency when used to make display screen. It is the most suitable product for high resolution full color outdoor video display and has swept away the difficulties that display manufactures had encountered with when trying to use the regular SMD LED for outdoor application, for example, severe light attenuation caused by epoxy resin chalking (UV-degradation), sensitive to the environmental relative humidity etc.
  "The development of this new model was initialized several months ago after we had evaluated a good quantity of enquiries for such kind of product and determined it as a good opportunity," said Martin Lee, the President and CEO of Ledman. "Ledman always makes heavy investment into R&D. We have accumulated a wide range of technology know-how and built up a very capable product development team. This new SMD LED for Outdoor Display application well demonstrated Ledman’s technological capability and its leading role in the industry. We are also working on several other projects and more exciting new products will be released in future."
  Before its public announcement, Ledman has promoted samples to its strategic customers and many of them indicated immediate interest. Right now there are several companies developing display screens using this SMD LED. Soon we will be able to see new examples of Ledman´s "light the world" with this leading products.
