In order to build rapport, boost morale, deflate tension, and enhance a sense of belonging and honor, in the afternoon of May, 13th, 2010, General Manager Mr. Martin Lee invited more than 50 of the newly employed recruits and held a casual meeting where everyone was encouraged to express what they wanted to.

Mr. Martin Lee addressed the opening speech, he extended his warm welcome to all the new employees and his best wishes that they would have a nice and meaningful lift with Ledman. He then briefly introduced the history of Ledman, from a well known radio technology company established in 1993 to the educational training organization EF, and finally Ledman in 2004, there could be as many challenges as one could imagine, but Ledman and her staff’s persistence, hard working and creative thinking forged Ledman today—a company which always upholds the integrity of management, which is with a strong sense of responsibility to the society and her suppliers, customers, share holders and her employees, a company with her economy index standing at the head of industry and well respected by all her partners and even her market competitors. In the very near future, Ledman will be a public listed company and by then she definitely will have faster development and realize her dream of becoming a multinational company sooner. Also as an experienced person, Mr. Martin Lee gave some suggestions on career development of the young people and proposed his expectations for all his employees- be hard working, humble and modesty, always eager to learning, cherish glory and honor.

The next interactive sessions were full of joy, laughing, spontaneous speeches and short talks. Some people said that their join of Ledman initially was out of their personal admirations to Martin Lee, some expressed their appreciation to their department working efficiency and team work spirits, some people even said that to join Ledman, to do what they were doing, and to be with the people around them were the best things ever happened this year. There are also some good suggestions on how Ledman could improve with all our efforts.

The one and half hour meeting was over with great success, but the understanding and communication reached between the new and the old would last for a long time, which definitely will be a great help in the new comers’ getting familiar with everything in Ledman and their sense of belonging. Meanwhile, the new comers joining Ledman will bring new ideas and thoughts, making contribution to Ledman’s fast growing and expending.
