On 22nd July 2017, for celebrating Ledman’s 13th anniversary, around 200 of Ledman employees gathered together at Shenzhen Water Lands for a characteristic team building event, led by our chairman Martin Lee!
Arrived Shenzhen Water Lands around 9:45 am, everyone dressed in white Ledman T-shirt, lining up tidily under the order from the training officers. After meeting the team coach, Martin Lee, Chairman and CEO of Ledman, gave an inspiring speech in front of the staffs, saying: “yesterday, we just celebrated Ledman’s 13th Anniversary, and today, we gather here out in the open for team building events, hoping that everyone could enjoy and experience the fun of outdoor exercise. Here is no different between Leader and Member, but only a united team can strive together for success.
Next, all ledman staffs stand hand in hand and form different team shapes by following the coaches’ orders, then gradually mix everybody up to form 8 different teams, which is: Team No. 1, Team Youth, Team Happy World, Team Brave Sword, Team Sailing, Team Champion. One team leader is voted by each team members then came up with different team slogans, team flag etc. Each team will finish tasks together as one with different roles being appointed.
After grouping, each team is excited to complete the tasks, putting their best effort to success among other teams. Tasks are included: Shiatsu Plates Challenge, Treasures Hunt, Circle of Excellence, and Form Human Logo, most of which require cooperation between team members, trust and motivation to each other with active communication, and also need each members’ self-awareness, self-motivation, self-orientation, so that the tasks and challenges might be accomplished.
The highest temp was 37℃ at that day, so it is imaginable that being outside in such hot and sunny day is such a big challenge for people to stay indoors and enjoyed air conditioning. However, we, as part of Ledman, are proud that we didn’t give in to the heat, and devote us into these trainings, disregarding these hardships. During Shiatsu Plates Challenge and Circle of Excellence, all team members are required to participate into and accomplish a goal through real team work. Take Shiatsu Plates Challenge for example, not only does it require team work, but also perseverance and break through at the time limit of the game. During the task, Ledman people gave up once, but under the stimulation of Ledman’s corporate culture “Speed, Passion, Sunshine, Dream, and Surpass”, we were able to cheer everyone up and reach the final goal! We were thrilled about the outcome and believed that miracle could only happen through everyone’s perseverance and determination.
Treasure Hunt is a challenge consist of a series of hunting tasks, including puzzle, poem writing, imitate singing, dancing, photo challenges etc. Tasks are spread in 3 different locations that each team are required to recognize and run to each location from a given map, completing different tasks alone the way as well. Only when team members are working together to solve each different questions can they make it to the spot and win the game! The whole process was full of fun and competition which gave everyone a strong sense of what cooperation, sharing, helping each other can really achieve.
Through a whole day’s challenges, there is one more challenge: to form a big Ledman Logo on an open field in a limited time with nearly 200 people’s body. At this time, all teams are merged into a united team to finish the last task.
Each former team was given a specific letter to form. Putting one letter together was task, but to make all letters being laid out in order and in same ratio was the hardest part in this challenge, especially under such a hot and humid weather. So we follow the coaches’ commands to adjust positions, like a bit to the left, a bit to the right, the L was too big, the radian of D was good enough etc… After a series of adjustments, the Logo LEDMAN was finally formed within the time limit which is really tell the truth that Ledman is formed by people like you and me, achieving the same goal because of the hard-working of everyone.
From 2004 to 2017, Ledman has been through 13 years!
13 years of hand in hand through trails and hardship;
13 years of staying true to the original self;
13 years, thankful for all Ledman people pouring their talents and hard work;
13 years, Ledman has transformed itself from LED Product Manufacturer to LED Service Provider, the successful crossover from LED products to double main business: High tech LED and Sport, Ledman’ brand is gradually going toward international.
In the next 13 years, Ledman will strive as always, lighting up the world!
